Privacy Policy for Local LLM-RAG Lite

Effective Date: March 12, 2026

ZDestiny ("I" "we," "us," or "our") built the Local LLM-RAG Lite app (the "App") as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by us and is intended for use "as is."

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. The "Offline-First" Privacy Guarantee

[Your App Name] is designed from the ground up to be a privacy-first, on-device application.

  • Zero Cloud Processing: All Large Language Model (LLM) text generation, document parsing (PDF, Excel, text), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) vector embeddings are processed locally on your device's hardware.

  • No Chat Collection: We do not collect, store, transmit, or monitor your chat logs, prompts, or the contents of the documents you import into the App.

  • Local Storage: All user data, including conversation history and document embeddings (vector_store.json), resides strictly within the App's local, isolated storage on your personal device.

2. Information Collection and Use

Because the App operates almost entirely offline, we do not require you to create an account, nor do we collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.

3. Required Device Permissions

To function properly, the App requests specific device permissions. Here is exactly how they are used:

  • Internet Access: The App requires an internet connection only for downloading open-source LLM weights (e.g., .gguf files) and embedding models directly to your device, and to securely communicate with the Google Play Store for in-app purchases. Your private prompts and documents are never sent over this internet connection.

  • Storage / Document Access: The App utilizes Android's native system file picker (Storage Access Framework). The App only gains read access to the specific files (e.g., PDFs, Excel files) that you explicitly choose to import into the local RAG engine. We do not have broad access to scan your device's storage.

4. Third-Party Services

The App does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, specifically related to app distribution and purchases.

  • Google Play Services & Google Play Billing: We use the Google Play Billing Library to process the one-time "Pro Unlock" in-app purchase. We do not process or have access to your credit card or payment information. All transactions are securely handled by Google. Link to Google Privacy Policy

5. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Because the App operates locally and without accounts, we have no mechanism to collect such data. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
