This Privacy Policy describes how ZDestiny ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the Pocket Server mobile application (the "Service").

Pocket Server is fundamentally an offline utility. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any personal information or any of the files you upload, download, or manage through the server.

  • Files and Content: All files transferred using Pocket Server move directly between your devices on your local Wi-Fi network. They are never sent to our servers or any third-party server. We cannot see, access, or manage your files.

  • Personal Information: We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information like your name, email address, or location to use our app.

Information Collection and Use (Third-Party Services)

While our core application does not collect your data, we use third-party services for monetization, which may collect information.

Google AdMob

Pocket Server uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, which helps support the development of the app. AdMob is a third-party service provided by Google that may collect and use data to provide personalized ads. This data may include device identifiers, location information, and usage data.

We do not share any of your personal data or files with AdMob. However, by using Pocket Server, you agree to the collection and use of information by AdMob as described in their privacy policy.

Permissions Required

Pocket Server requests the following permissions on your Android device to function correctly:

  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: This permission is required to get your device's local IP address. The app needs this information to display the correct server address for you to connect to from other devices. We do not store or transmit your IP address.

  • INTERNET: This permission is required for the app to start the local HTTP server and for Google AdMob to fetch advertisements.

Log Data

The app does not log any personal user data. It may create local, anonymous logs for the sole purpose of debugging technical issues. This log data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

Security

The security of your files during transfer depends entirely on the security of your local Wi-Fi network. We recommend using a password-protected (WPA2/WPA3) Wi-Fi network for all file transfers. Pocket Server operates as a standard HTTP server and does not add an additional layer of encryption over your local network.

Children's Privacy

This Service is suitable for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13.

We understand the importance of protecting the privacy of children. The core functionality of Pocket Server does not collect any personally identifiable information from any user, including children. All file operations occur locally on the user's device and Wi-Fi network.

The advertisements displayed in the app are provided by Google AdMob. We have configured our ad settings to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other relevant regulations. This means that ads shown to users are filtered to be appropriate for a general audience, including children, and ad personalization is disabled for users who may be designated as children.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
