This privacy policy applies to the "Clock on Top for TV" application (referred to as "the Application").

To function, the Application saves your chosen preferences. This data is stored only on your device in the app's private storage (in a file named clock_prefs). This data is not sent to us or any third party.

  • Background Opacity

  • Font Size

  • 12/24-hour format

  • Show/Hide Seconds

  • Clock Position

  • Use Analog or Digital clock

  • Analog clock size

  • Auto-start on boot preference

Free & PRO Version Monetization

This application is the "free" version. It is free to use but has locked features (e.g., custom font size, analog clock, and most clock positions).

These features can be unlocked by purchasing the separate "PRO" version of the app from the Google Play Store. The free app contains dialogs that provide a direct link to the PRO app's listing on the Google Play Store.

Explanation of Permissions

Our Application requests certain permissions to provide its features:

  • SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Draw over other apps): This is the app's core function. This permission is required to display the clock on top of other applications.

  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE: This permission is required to run the clock as a continuous service, ensuring it remains visible and does not get shut down by the operating system.

  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13 and newer. This is used only to show the persistent notification that is required for the FOREGROUND_SERVICE to run.

  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED (Run at startup): This is required for the "Auto Start on Boot" feature. If you enable this setting, the app uses this permission to automatically launch the clock when your device restarts.

  • INTERNET: This permission is used only to open the Google Play Store page if you click the link to view the "PRO" version of the application. No other data is transmitted.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties because we do not collect any.

Children's Privacy

The Application does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
